Well, I decided to get myself out to clear the cobwebs from my lungs and go to my local garden center to pick up a few packets of seed to plant in the greenhouse. The air was really fresh and scent was coming from the buds of the trees all around.
We got to the garden center fine and had a good look around, bought a few things. We came out and I gave a huge lung filling sharp intake of breath, almost bursting my lungs. I gave out a loud cough and a gasp. The air was filled with the sour smell of well rotted manure. The farm nearby had decided to 'muck spread' while we were shopping.
If that is the smell of the countryside then they can keep it, it was really awful, mind you...it's much better than the smell of car fumes and fast food. I just wish that I had a little sniff first rather than the huge lungs full of the stuff:/
